It's incredible to realize that when we take care of the needs of someone else, it's the same as doing it for Jesus. That's awesome! What an incredible thing to teach our kids.
**More to come on our blog in the next few weeks about a project that you can be part of to meet the needs of others in an easy, non-time-consuming, inexpensive way...

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in. I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.” (When did we do these things for you they asked…) “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.”  (italics are my paraphrase).  Matthew 25:34-46

Jesus goes on to say that what we didn’t do for others, we didn’t do for Him. Ouch...I don't think He said that to make us feel guilty all the time, but to make us think. Besides, as a mom, you feed, give water, clothe, care for the sick, and even visit the kid in "prison" (grounded or in time-out)!  I'm not minimizing the other people in our lives that we can care for, but sometimes we get so busy looking out for others that we forget we're already doing all of these things in our homes, and usually we do them more than once a day.

Sharon & LaurieLaurie Lovejoy Hilliard and Sharon Lovejoy Autry are wives, moms, sisters and great friends.  They are the founders of Mom and Loving It Ministries whose mission is to provide hope for families by encouraging and equipping moms.

After these sisters and their families toured 40 states (over 4 years) speaking and singing to thousands of moms, they settled in the North Texas area near their hometown of Whitesboro.  They've been featured on numerous TV and radio shows and have written Mom and Loving It:  Finding Contentment in REAL Life, and Hold You, Mommy:  Moments with God for Moms on the Go (both from Bethany House Publishers).  Their musical CD, Hold You, Mommy has encouraged thousands.  Laurie and her husband Charles, have four children, Sharon and her husband Pat, have three.

This twosome inspires audiences at their Mom and Loving It Conferences to move from simply enduring motherhood to enjoying it. Through their genuine hearts and relatable stories, moms are put at ease and challenged to be a "Mom and Loving It!"

Children are giftsMission Statement:
To share the hope of Christ setting women free to impact the next generation.

Scriptures that Guide This Ministry:
“Love the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind and strength . . . making the most of every opportunity . . . as you sit at home, walk along the road, lie down and get up.” (Mark 12:30, Eph. 5:16, Deut. 6:7)

Our Message and Measure of Success:
The message of MOM AND LOVING IT! is one of hope and encouragement, of joy and tears, of slowing moms to the pace of their babies, toddlers, young children and teens.

What parent doesn’t need a reminder that kids grow quickly?…So, slow down and don’t just bear them, but enjoy them.

We truly believe that “children are a gift from the Lord” and we long to share that message with parents, as well as remind ourselves of the preciousness of our children.

The Success of MOM AND LOVING IT! rests on the love, understanding of Christ, and sense of belonging we give our kids while encouraging and equipping other moms. Hearing how families have decided to make “home” their priority is what keeps us going.
